Prime Minister Education Assistance Trust Scholarship 2022 (Pmeat Scholarship). Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Ministry of Education, Department of Secondary and Higher Education has published the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust Stipend Circular . The details are discussed below.
In financial year 2021-22 by Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust to the poor and meritorious students of Dhaka University, National University and Islami_Arabic_University_affiliated_education_institute_undergraduate_(pass) and equivalent level in academic year 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 (3rd year, 2nd year and 1st year) Call for scholarship applications form.

It is hereby informed for the information of all concerned that in the financial year 2021-22 by the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance in the academic year 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 (3rd year, 2nd year and 1st year) Dhaka University, National University and Islamic Arabic Scholarship applications are invited from poor and meritorious students of graduate (pass) and equivalent level studying in educational institutions under the university.
In regards to providing admission assistance to graduate/equivalent class students! Admission assistance i.e. one-time scholarship will be given to poor and meritorious students from among those admitted in honors/equivalent category this year by Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust.
Pmeat scholarship 2022 Application will run from: 28/08/2022 to 29/09/2022.

In 2020-21 financial year, scholarships will be given to 26 lakh 17 thousand students among poor and meritorious students from the prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust.
Out of this 24 lakh 30 thousand students will get stipend. And the remaining 1 lakh 87 thousand will get merit scholarship.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal gave this information while presenting the budget of Tk 568,000 crore for the upcoming financial year in the National Parliament on Thursday (June 11).
He said that the scholarship will be given to students studying in secondary, higher secondary and higher education.

He said in his budget speech, we are now emphasizing on quality improvement of education and research in higher education to accelerate the development of education.

This trust is providing scholarships to graduate (pass) and equivalent level students and tuition fees between educational institutions.
He also said that merit scholarships have already been awarded to about 6 lakh students based on the results of public examinations in the financial year 2020-21.
Besides, 5 lakh 57 thousand students at secondary level, 10 lakh 95 thousand female students, 1 lakh 16 thousand students at higher secondary level, 4 lakh 62 thousand female students and 50 thousand students and 150 thousand female students at degree level will be given stipend.

Incidentally, in the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2020-21, the allocation for the education sector has been increased by Tk 5,243 crore compared to last year.

A total of Tk 66 thousand 401 crore has been allocated for the education sector in the budget. Which in the financial year 2019-20 was allocated to this sector 61 thousand 118 crores.
Out of this, 24 thousand 940 crore rupees have been allocated to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, 33 thousand 117 crore rupees to the secondary and higher education department and 8 thousand 344 crore rupees to the technical and madrasa education department.
