Admission

Study in Turkey as a foreign student Guide

Dear student brothers and sisters Hope everyone is well and healthy. Scholarship related issues are usually discussed in detail in this group of ours.

But today I will discuss how to study in Turkey without a scholarship or how to solve all the related problems including accommodation and food.

First let’s come to the admission process:-

You can take admission in Turkish universities in two ways

  1.   By participating in the YÖS exam.
  2. Apply directly to the university.

Now let’s know about YÖS exam

YÖS (Yabancı Öğretim Sınav) or EXAMINATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS is the admission test for studying in Turkish universities. By participating in this exam, you can easily qualify for admission to various universities in Turkey. If you compare the YÖS test with tests like SAT or ACT, YÖS test is much easier.

Now let’s come to how to give this test or where? What is the full standard or test medium?
Suleiman Demirel University in Isparta and Istanbul University have YÖS examination centers in Bangladesh.

Usually this test is taken there. If you pass this exam, you will get the opportunity to directly study in different universities in Turkey in good subjects and in addition, this exam will also help you to get a visa. Moreover, in some cases, the university authorities also give scholarships.

The YÖS exam generally consists of two parts

1) General Ability
2) Basic learning skills.
Usually there are 45 questions on IQ and 35 on Mathematics. Time will be 2 hours for total 80 questions. And the whole exam will be in English.

Apply directly to the university without scholarship

The second way to study in Turkey is to apply directly to Turkish universities. In this case, you can apply by choosing the universities of your choice from Google.

You can see when a university issues circulars by going to the university’s website and opening their academic calendar It won’t do us much good to ask.

Because it is impossible for us to keep a regular eye on the circulars of the universities. So take some time and keep an eye on the website of the university of your choice.

Also, if you want, you can directly email the university authorities or students affairs office to know all the detailed information.

They will let you know if you have been selected after a certain time of applying with their required documents during the application period. If selected may ask for various documents later through mail.

They should be shown slowly and the university’s primary admission work should be completed Then they will give some important documents along with the acceptance letter along with the visa application.

Meanwhile they will mail the last date of submission of final admission and original documents. All university admission work should be completed before that specified time by arriving in Turkey with a visa.

Remember that you have to go and get admission in all the universities. There is no possibility of admission by sending documents online.

But yes some universities ask for translation, notary, ministry and embassy attested papers during application. If you want you can do these things before or you can skip those universities.

Safety of girls in Turkey University

Many people ask what can be done after coming to Turkey? Or is there any barrier in terms of the screen? The simple answer is that all types of screens can be seen in logic.

It goes as it pleases. No one is stopping anyone. Although veils were banned during Kemal Atatürk’s regime, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan lifted the ban. After that, the use of screen was started again in all places. If MPs can enter parliament wearing hijab, university is nothing.

Emin Erdoğan himself visited all places wearing hijab. So there is no reason to worry about wearing hijab. Here you will actually see several screens.
